Wireframing

In this exercise, you want to start thinking about the design of your site and test that design with others in the class. You will do this by drawing multiple wireframes, which are a standard part of the process of web design.

  • Start to think about what you want the home page of your website to look like.
  • Focus on its structural elements (e.g. logo, title, menu, images, featured blog posts, other blocks of text, the footer, etc.)
  • Use a thick, black pen/marker to sketch two different versions the home page of your site. These are called wireframes!
  • Do not use color. Do label elements, when you can.
  • Submit your wireframes through the exercise upload.

Wireframing helped me understand my vision.

The most useful exercise was the wire framing for our website because it help set up what our websites could look like once generated!

[The wireframing] allowed me to just get my thoughts on paper without feeling like I have to commit to any one thing.
