Artifact Analysis

The purpose of this exercise is for you to practice talking about an artifact and what it represents about what you have learned or are capable of.

  • Choose an artifact that you associated with one of the items listed on your content inventory.
  • Confirm that you have chosen your artifact using these criteria.
  • Describe this artifact to the rest of the class for about 1 to 2 minutes. Be sure to spend time directing the audience’s attention to certain aspects of the artifact.

The ability to reflect on my experiences was a great exercise in the power of writing to understand what you’ve learned. I especially learned how to feel comfortable showing “works in progress” as valid artifacts of learning.

The presentations of a project we had completed were really fun and informative. It was awesome to see other projects that people had done, and the complexities of other classes that I haven’t been exposed to.

The Artifact Analysis showed me what tangible experiences I could list out and show.
